Little Blue Run

The FirstEnergy Bruce Mansfield Plant Community Advisory Panel (CAP) was formed in June 2012 to help members of the community learn more about Little Blue Run and the Bruce Mansfield Plant operations. The CAP provides a forum for open discussion among the company representatives and the community.  The group is comprised of representatives from small businesses, education, clergy, local elected officials, near neighbors and emergency responders. The CAP now meets every-other-month to share information and get status updates on the activities at the Bruce Mansfield Plant and the Little Blue Run closure plan.

Kengor was one of many who visited the FirstEnergy booth to learn more about the facility and its community advisory panel.

For more information on the FirstEnergy-Bruce Mansfield Plant CAP, please contact Mary A. Green at Ann Green Communications toll free at 1(800) 784-4343. What has the CAP discussed?

The topics of discussion are determined by the CAP members on an ongoing basis. Since forming in the summer of 2012, the members have learned about the history of the Bruce Mansfield Plant. They talked about water quality concerns, explored the tax implications of FirstEnergy in the community, learned about the development of Little Blue Run, toured the Little Blue Run site, and discussed community concerns related to Little Blue Run and the closure plan.
